Always that a user tries to create a new topic, the following message appears: "You do not have permissions to start a new topic!", even for the Super Administrator user. All categories are publics. I don't understand why it's happening. All the installation occured successfully, and I can make everything in the componente, but create a new topic.

I have fixed the problem: new topics creation only works if you have at least one category published linked to the main category.

You need to have one category created and published. It's all explained in Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 1) .

Hello,

I thought everything was going too smoothly!!

I installed the forum and had no real issues - I then deletyed the original categories and added the categories I wanted. Then I thought I'd add a single post in each of the new categories. But clicking on the "New Topic" button opens a window as per the screenshot - and not a "New Topic window.

I can't see anything on this forum that relates to this - and I've looked through the configs - can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks

The forum is here : amigolf.es/forum/index

it's also giving the message that there are no published categories - but they are published....

Thanks

Doh!

Need to have the forums as sections - not categories - so under the Main Forum as parent...

Answering here just in case someone else as stoopid as me comes along later (unlikely, methinks!)
