My Forum on www.deutscheinmelbourne.net encountered a very strange thing:
The subject line on entries since this morning show "No Process" and not the original subject a user entered or replied to.
Even as superadmin, it won't accept my changes after saving the edits.
I was running 1.07b and upgrading to 1.08 did not solve the problem.

You can watch this looking at the Kunena latest module on the frontpage of www.deutscheinmelbourne.net .
The link to the forum is www.deutscheinmelbourne.net/index.php?op...com_kunena&Itemid=26

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this feature?

Thanks,
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Long time sine we last spoke....

Have not see that one before. What latest posts module are you using on the home page? Have you tried to disable it for testing purposes?

Do you get any errors in the server logs?

Did you edit any portions of Kunena?

What version of Joomla are you running on?

Sorry for all those questions!

fxstein

Hi fxstein,

Good to see you so active on the developers team. You guys are doing a fantastic job and pushing really hard.

Back to my freaky error:
  1. Using mod_kunenalatest as latest post module. Problem seems to be unrelated to the module. Disabled it but the problem persists.
  2. No Kunena related errors in the log file.
  3. No custom edits on any Kunena file.
  4. Running Joomla 1.5.9.

The really weird part is that the error just appeared in a smoothly running forum with no obvious trigger.

Every new post and every reply ends up with "No Process" in the subject line. Regardless of what the user enters...

Thanks,
Matthias

I checked the database and can't see any obscure setting either.
For your info, below is a screenshot with the table properties of jos_fb_messages:

Need to think about an SQL query to connect to the table...

Any idea welcome.

Now, I did the following tests to eliminate the problem:

1. dropped and re-installed all Kunena tables in the database - no success
2. Uninstalled Kunena, dropped all Kunena tables in the dbase, did a fresh Kunena install - problem still persists: "No Process" in the subject line and not editable. Replaced all Kunena tables - still the same problem.
3. did a fresh joomla 1.5.9 install on the same server, different site, fresh Kunena install, dropped all tables and installed tables from the affected forum - no problem at all, Kunena works fine.

Obviously the problem lies in a process elsewhere.
I guess I need a php expert to give me a clue...
What else can I test?

Thanks,
Matthias

I cannot think anything else than cache problem. Do you have Joomla cache on?
