Hello,

On Kunena there are the social icons using a javascript library which hasn't been maintained since a while ( github.com/tabalinas/jssocials ).

Please answer to the poll and if you know external javascript or others library which can do the same thing

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

There is IMO a limited use case as having these buttons are only useful for public forums / forum parts. Having a share button linked to a page where you are prompted to login doesn't make sense (imo).

Visitors (at least on my forum) are using mobile devices more and more and these have sharing capabilities build into the application / device OS.

I do not use the build in buttons myself, but I do use the (template config setting) 'Social Share Custom Tag': a feature I build into Kunena myself some years ago. This enables me to use my own social sharing plugin via inserting the tag which is then replaced by the plugin (ochJSsocials in my case).

For me this (tag) functionality is sufficient and there is nothing to maintain (as the plugin displaying the share buttons is maintained).

sharing = caring
