I think ranks need to be more customizable. For example, ranks shouldn't depende only on the number of posts you did, but also on thinks like the number of comments, the number of "Thank you" you've received, or the elapsed time since you registered, that kind of things...

Furthermore, ranks could have the option to be like Titles or Medals, give the user the chance to get different ranks and choose which one they want to show. For example, if a user posts a lot, and comments a lot, can get the Champion Poster rank and the Champion Commentator rank, and choose which one he wants to show.

Or you could also see a list of ranks at the user profile.

What do you think? Is anything of this already posible?

In Kunena, the forum rank can either be based on the number of posts made by a person or it can be "fixed" by the site administrator. For example, the site administrator can use custom ranks for "developers", "contributors" or some other purpose related to their forum. In Kunena, ranks do not mean anything—they are purely honorary. Forum ranks do not give people additional privileges or access rights.

Normally, the "rank" of a user indicates how many messages they have posted. It's a kind of reward to encourage people to contribute to build your forum. If you want to reward your users in other ways, there are other ways you can do that.

You could use AlphaUserPoints for things like that.
