Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Hi all,

I am new at this (Kunena), and have a forum that we want to set up as a members only forum. What we want to do is to have a registration page that requires a registration code that we would provide for users to be able to set up their accounts. Is this possible?

I am also looking for a way to allow users to PM each other, and to track individual users posts. I know there is a messaging add on, but I am not sure what it is called.

Any help would be appreciated!

You can do member only forum by denying public read access (security tab in our configuration).

Registration needs to be done by using some other Joomla component as Kunena has no control over it.

For PM you need to add some other extension, like UddeIM or JomSocial. We integrate to those PMS.

Tracking user postings is possible in K1.6, but it will be greatly improved in 2.0..
