I understand what you might
want to do - you clarified that in your last answer - and I replied that I have not checked this out to see if you
can do it or not. I don't think it's possible at the moment but I haven't checked it out.
I asked you if you meant "should guests have the same privileges as registered logged-in members to create and vote in polls" and you replied "yes, that is what I mean". That's a good
general question - should they? - and that's what the
General Talk about Kunena
category is for: general questions. I have my opinions on whether guests
should have this privilege; others might have different opinions. Let's hear from the rest of the community.
On the other hand you can save yourself a lot of time, trouble and worry if you ask those people who use your website (and your forum) to register, login and participate in the polls that you run. It takes very little time for people to register with a Joomla website and to login.
These ideas involve time - time to think things through, consider the implications, make the software changes. Allowing anyone to create polls or vote in polls could be a disaster-in-the-making if it's not properly thought through. Do you understand what I'm saying? Give us some time to think about it. If you can't wait then I suggest that you encourage those who use your forum to join and login so that they can share the added benefits of being able to create polls and vote in them.
