Question Joomla 1.6: migrating from Wordpress; user gallery within profile questions

Hello

I'm taking over a forum, and have to transfer it/change platforms - we're moving to a Jommla 1.6 site. I have installed the latest Kunena, it seems to be fine. But two questions (to start with)

- How do you import cleanly the data from the original forum, which was on Wordpress?

- is it possible to have some king of a user galery within their profile?

Thanks in advance

G'day, Matelot, and welcome to Kunena.

The best way to answer your questions (and possibly other questions that you may have) is to invite you to browse through the companion Wiki site.

(1) Your intention to host Kunena on a Joomla 1.6 platform, please read K 1.8 Technical Requirements .

(2) In the time that I have been a member of this website, I have no recollection of anyone who has written about how to migrate or convert a Wordpress forum to Kunena.

(3) When you ask if it's possible to have some kind of gallery within their profile, the answer is that it's not something that's provided as part of the Kunena user profile to show some kind of picture gallery of user-submitted images. Other Joomla extensions (like JomSocial and Community Builder) do this.
