3 questions about Kunena configuration (SOLVED) was created by Lili
Hi,
I move a site from ccboard, to Agora and then to Kunena. Was not easy but they had 1500 posts... I have 3 minors problems.
1. Is it possible to hide the birth year just leave the date and the month ?
2. Is it also possible to remove the gost message option ? The admin of the forum wants to see them all.
3. I also tried to have tab instead of links for the kunena menu and I keep staying in links...
Thanks for your help ! I love Kunena !

G'day, Lili, and welcome to Kunena.
Thank you for your very interesting questions.
(1) Hiding the day/month part from the birthdate Yes, I suppose it's possible to change the format of the birthdate display but I haven't found what you need to change to only display the birthyear. If you're concerned about displaying any part of your birthdate, the simplest solution is to not enter those details. The ability to change the display of the birthdate (in the way you have described it) is not configurable with a simple backend option.
(2) "Ghost message" option: As far as I'm aware, I'm familiar with that terminology in K 1.5; in K 1.6 the new term is "shadow topic". The concept is only used when you move a topic from one category to another category and you want to display a pointer on the original category so that your users will know where to look for the real topic. Does that make sense to you?
The ability to remove this option is not changeable as a configuration setting.
If I have misunderstood what you mean by ghost message option, perhaps you might explain your definition.
(3) Kunena menu tab/links: I don't completely understand the question. I assume that you are talking about the menu feature of K 1.6. Perhaps your question deserves its own topic and it might help to better explain the problem that you seem to be having if you post a picture together with a link to your website.
Thanks

Hello,
(1) I just want that people in front end see just the date and month without the year. Just a little security. So I will probably have to play into the codes... I am never sure how to to those stuff !
Can you guide me ?
(2) Ok I understand. The girl that I am making the site didn't want people to be online without showing. :S
() I will move this question in the wright forum. Because it is a problem for me.
Thanks again for your help

(1) I don't have the specific information that will help you in this case. Perhaps another user, who is interested in this issue, can give you the help that you need.
(2) I'm sorry, but I don't really understand the issues here about "ghost messages" in the way that you have described them. Are you asking if it's possible to hide that fact that a user is online or not?

Hi,
Sorry I'm french so sometimes when you explain you ''translate'' same way you think ! lol !
For the (1) I really hope somebody can help me cause code is not really my ''cup of tea''.
(2) It is like when you are on facebook and you want to hide and people can not chat with you because you look offline. But don't bother with this I will concentrate on the ''main'' concerns
Thanks for your quick response it is really nice of you.
Bye bye

Sorry, I'm Australian, and we don't think the same way as most other people think who write English!
