Question Joomla Login Integration

Joomla Login Integration was created by tybutler
Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to have Joomla's user information integrated with Kuena's. I want to be able to use the Joomla login module to register users with both the site and forum so they can use both. Is there any way to do this?

That's the whole point of kunena surely, as opposed to a non-integrated forum platform like PHPBB. I just made another post suggesting a clear features list for Kunena be posted on this website. At the least it might save people from having to post questions like this.

The login integration depends on what integration settings you have used in your Kunena configuration settings. Normally, if you don't change any of Kunena's configuration settings, Kunena will use the standard Joomla login (unless you have disabled that module). Have you?

i don't think so. i was going through the configuration options and saw an option that raised this question for me. i did change a few of the setting but i don't think any of them were in the user's section. I haven't tried it yet, I was asking a question before I made a headache for myself. So I guess I need to know how i should have it configured.

The solution to your problem depends on what version of Kunena you are using. You've posted this topic in the General Talk about Kunena category (this category is not really for solving user problems). Did you read the category description before you posted your question in this category?
There is a "reset to factory settings" feature in K 1.6. In K 1.5 you will have to reset whatever you might have changed yourself (the defaults values are shown in Kunena Configuration in the Wiki).

i did read the section heading and actually didn't mean to put it here. you can move it if necessary (my apologies) thanks for your suggestion i'll do that. once again both the joomla and Kunena installations are fresh minus the two or three things i changed in Kuena. I was asking this more for comfirmation that the joomla module will work without any extra configuration. I know with things like Community Builder sometimes need an additional plugin. I believe you've answered my question. If I have any more problems I'll be sure to post them in the right section
thanks for your help!
