Question 'current' id tag in Joomla menu

Hi all,

In the previous (1.5) version of Kunena, I could create a Joomla template stylesheet that looked for the 'current' id tag against a menu item and set the properties of the selected menu item to how it was selected.

In Kunena 1.6 I cannot do this. Kunena creates its own sub-menu within the main menu of Joomla, so for example if I create a menu option that is of type 'Kunena forum', it creates a menu link to the new Kunena menu structure. The parent of this structure might have an ID of 26, but the main Joomla menu item ID is 16. This means Joomla does not detect that the menu item is current and therefore does not set 'id="current"' in the html of the menu item. The result is that all menu items look the same instead of one being displayed as 'selected'.

I hope I explained this clearly enough.

My question is, is it possile to get Joomla to identify the selected menu item and set its id to 'current' with Kunena 1.6?

Hi again,

Thanks for reading, but I've discovered where I went wrong. When the Kunena sub-menu was created in Joomla, I should have created a new main menu item to point to the Kunena index menu item. What I think I did was to select the parent menu item which has the incorrect ID.

Many thanks to the Kunena team for an excellent Joomla plug in.
