Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Hello,

Because there are more majors changes in kunena 1.6 so it will be renammed into kunena 2.0 just before the release, k1.6 continue to exist for the moment.
I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

It would be lame to call new version "just" K1.6 -- it's not a minor version with some new features. New version is a total rewrite and deserves to be K2.0. :)

We are currently working on backend: both installer and configuration has been rewritten from scratch. Soon we will add new category and user management into backend. After that we still have some work to be done in frontend to make use of new features and improvements. There's still plenty things to be done, but we are making good progress right now. :)

Awesome news!

I read a while back that Kunena 1.6 was going to be in time for joomla 1.6, but may beat it to stable release since joomla 1.6 seems to be taking longer.

Will Kunena 2.0 be on track to beat joomla 1.6 to stable as well?

We have started integration of Kunena 2.0 code on Joomla 1.6

Hopefully K2.0 will be out in time for K1.6 - Many of the new Kunena features like groups leverage J1.6 features extensively.

We hope to have demo screen available in the next few weeks.
We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)
