Any word on new features for J1.6? What I'd love to see is a "video channel" with movie tutorials much like Wordpress.

Also, more attention to Joomla's CORE blog. (I'm 'once bitten twice shy' about 3rd party developers).

If Joomla's CORE blog were upgraded and developed, then there's less chance things can go wrong with Kunena's blog to forum integration.

< aside > As I've said in the other main thread on this, I'd love to see "blog to forum" synchronisation for Joomla... but I understand Joomla's core blog has a ways to go yet before I can even consider using it.

Shame.

Wordpress is way ahead with blogging and is approaching CMS parity with Joomla, but Wordpress is not really powering on with a native plugin forum. They have bbpress, but it has integration issues and is not a core plugin like Kunena. I wish it were, and that they would resurrect BBsync but no such luck.

< / end aside >

Anyway, back on topic... what other rumours about J1.6 excite other users?

While Joomla default content component will improve some in 1.6, the Joomlaworks K2 component is a better candidate for integration.
