Kunena 7.0.8 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.
This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

I don't know anything about JomSocial or Community Builder's PM software (even though I use CB on my website). I do, however, know something about uddeIM.
Kunena interfaces with various PM systems, such as the ones mentioned above, to the extent that people can send a PM to another user of the website forum. As viper_iii has observed, there isn't a mechanism within Kunena to show that there's an unread PM waiting for someone. Furthermore, Kunena doesn't really provide a way of accessing a user's PM message "centre" and, neither, should it do so in my opinion.
PM notification is a function of PM product. I like the uddeIM mechanism; it's done with AJAX and displays a "popup" when a new message is received. Perhaps other PM systems do something similar. Shop around and choose whatever works best for you.
