Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question K 1.6 stable JS integration seems incomplete

When I click a username in K, I am rightly directed to JS profile. However, using the K Profile menu item or the My Profile or Edit Profile tabs on the Forum menu plugin for JS sends me to a K profile. Is this profile info still necessary when JS integration is activated? Is there some way to map the info from JS to K if it is still necessary?

Right now the menu integration is the only one we offer directly.

Direct field level mapping to JomSocial is doable, but somebody will have to contribute such a plugin.

Thanks for the quick reply. In the meantime, I was able to eliminate the confusion by renaming a couple of menu items on the plugin and changing the profile and view folders via template overrides. Hopefully that will do the trick.

There are still problems with text limits and image size limits in jomsocial activity feed ported from kunena. I have addressed these problems throughout the duration of 1.6 development, but not a single developer has even acknowledged this feature and bug or offered to fix it.

FYI We have been discussing this with the JomSocial team. There needs to be a partial more function that shows an intro text together with a more button. Right not the more button in JomSocial is all or nothing. Images sizes require a simple css definition on the JomSocial template to make the limited to the space of the activity stream.
Maybe one of the designers can chime in here.
