Kunena 7.0.9 & Kunena 6.4.14 – Security Updates Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.9 [K 7.0.9] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.
This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The threaded view was dysfunctional in K 1.0 in the sense that it caused more problems than were possible to fix in a reasonable time frame and the feature was withdrawn from K 1.0.8 onwards (which was about 18 months ago). For some reason the ability to select one or the other has never been removed from the Community Builder cb.simpleboardtab plugin. It doesn't matter what you select in CB, it doesn't have any effect.
Yes, you might ask the question at Joomlapolis . I'm not clear on what you mean by the feature being "required" as you have written. In effect, Kunena disregards whatever value you set this to.
