Kunena 7.0.9 & Kunena 6.4.14 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.9 [K 7.0.9] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Long story short, We were hacked a month ago. I rebuilt the site - but tried to save many of the settings. The Database was fine - but I re-installed all fo the plugins to make sure we were up to date. Community Builder and Kunena and AEC were included.

Since the site has been re-installed - I cannot get Kuena to use the Community Builder registration.

I have checked Community Builder - manually assinged it to use Forum Integration (It did not automatically find Kunena.

I have selected Kunena to use CB integration. However when I click on the logon or registration link it takes me to the default Joomla login and registration pages.

Since the site is still being pieced together, I have new registration and login turned off for the main site.

Kunena Seems to go around all that. Even though the modules and new registrations are turned off, I am getting at least 3-5 new registrations from Russia a DAY. They bypass CB - so I suspect it is just bots. I dont understand how if I tell Joomla NO NEW REGISTRATIONS, taht is still allows it - but the only way I found to stop it - was to turn off the forum. (None of my real members could use it anyway - login was turned off)

WHY???

I found an article that might help - if there is an administrator here - I would appreciate a little help. I am not a coder - I am a graphics hack.
