Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

I'm running Kunena 1.5.12. with CB 1.2.3 CBsubs 1.0.3 and GroupJive 1.8.1

Is there any way to hide the parent forums in the group forums so people can't backtrack and enter the forum of a group that they don't belong to?

Thanks.

I don't fully understand what "group forums" are. They sound like something to do with Community Builder. Can you confirm that this is what you are trying to describe?

Actually the groups are part of GroupJive. You can see the whole tree of forums.

But now I installed Kunena 1.6.0-RC1 and I don't get auto creation of the forums when I create a new group. Any ideas, mate?

Is this a feature request or is this a request for assistance? The topic seems to be changing. Is your request about wanting Kunena to do something or about Community Building to do something?

I am unfamiliar with GroupJive. What do the folks at Joomlapolis have to say about this matter?

I'll stick with the first topic. And sorry, I see I'm in the wrong forum.

Is there any way to hide the parent categories in the forums? I am trying to make separate forums in the same site, with no cross-talk.

(Skip the second topic, I'll take it up with Joomlapolis, as you say.)

Thanks.

Which category do you think is more appropriate for you (and I'll move it there). :)

You can hide categories by unpublishing them but, if you unpublish a parent category then you hide all subcategories, too.. Therefore, I'm not entirely sure that your request is feasible. It's certainly a very complicated way to solve the problem that you seem to be having.
