Question Additional Profile Icons not working

I am running Kunena 1.5.12 integrated into Joomla 1.5.20 and Community Builder 1.2.3. I am trying to get the additional icons to appear below my avatar (ie: gender, aim, yahoo, icq, etc). I am having the hardest of times getting this to work when it seems like it should be very simple.

I've created the required fields in Community Builder and I've enabled the plugin and the tab. I am using the core plugin "cb.simpleboardtab" that comes with Community Builder and it is set to use Kunena and I've configured it for the required fields that I setup. Still no go.

What am I missing that is causing me this huge headache? Why won't the icons appear when I've done everything I can possibly think of to get them to work? Does anyone have them working that can give me some advice?

G'day, itoregon, and welcome to Kunena.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about CB 1.2.3 - it's very new - and I don't know if all the forum integration built into CB is fully operable with K 1.5.12. This may be a question that you need to ask at Joomlapolis. If you get an answer there we would greatly appreciate it if you would provide an update to your question here.

We've had some discussions in the past about the limitation in setting Kunena user profile settings via CB - there are "sticky" topics in this category that refer to some of those discussions - and it's possible that the only way you can get these icons to operate is if you extend CB user profile fields and map them with the cb.simpleboardtab plugin. For instance, see [SOLVED] Male and Female Icons , as one example.

Thank you sozzled, I have read that [SOLVED] post that you referenced and my issue is similar. I am mapping them in the plug in as well. In fact, I just tried it with the birthday icon and that shows up on the forum just fine. Gender is not showing up, I haven't played with the other icons yet.

UPDATE: I currently have the personal text area, website, yahoo, skype, Google Talk and birthday icons working. Still no luck on Gender.

UPDATE: All Icons are working except Gender. Any Ideas?

As I recall from that discussion topic ( [SOLVED] Male and Female Icons ) we had to do a bit of "fiddling" to get this to work. From memory, I worked fairly closely with the user who asked for this solution for her website and, if I remember correctly, we had to ask for help from Joomlapolis: their solution, to the gender icon problem, was www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com...catid,112/id,126752/

sozzled, thanks again! It's all working now. I had to change two things. I was using radio buttons instead of dropdowns. The new values didn't work with radio buttons but when I switched to dropdowns they started to work. That is just awesome. This is now SOLVED
