Hello, is it possible to manually subscribe the group members to their correspondent kunena forum?
The Joomla & Jomsocial stats shows:
User Manager: 326
The Kunena stats shows:
Members (Control panel): 326
Users (Kunena User Profile Manager): 72
As you can see only a few people is showed in he Kunena User Manager, and not all of them are subscribed to a forum. I would prefer all the members that already belong to a Jomsocial group, were automatically (or manually) subscribed to the correspondent Kunena Forum, even before they visit the forum or post replies.
To support what xillibit wrote (in case there is some doubt in your mind) he's referring to the function that's explained in Synchronizing users
. This should help you.
Thank you xilibit & sozzled, I managed to get the 324 to the Kunena Users Manager by the Sync function.
Now, how can I get them subscribed to their correspondent Kunena Forums? I am intending to post to the Forum and make sure all the members of groups get the email notification.
I think the answer to your question is outside of my league and possibly outside the scope of Kunena. You stated that you're using JS G-Kunena. Is this what you meant by "assigning users to their correspondent (sic) Kunena forums" in your original question? I don't know anything about JomSocial or the specific product you mentioned. We have a separate category for JomSocial
matters; perhaps I should move this topic there?
Yes sozzled, Jomsocial has the grouping feature, each group has a discussion feature, by installing JS G Kunena, the Jomsocial discussion feature is disabled and replaced by a feature that creates a new Kunena forum per group, so now group members (inside the Jomsocial group) see and have a link to the Kunena Forum discussions that correspond to that group.
This feature does not have a function for subscribing all the members of a group before they visit the Kunena Forum and post, but I need the users to be subscribed to the Forum as soon as they register to a group.
As I am understanding, Kunena subscribes a user right after he creates a new thread or replies to a pre-existent one. Is there a kunena function that allows me manually subscribe users independently of the JS G Component.
