Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question Mismatch between JS and Kunena access rights.

This is not a problem per se but I think its just a mismatch between JS's and Kunena's access rights.

Basically with JS 1.6 onwards, you can set JomSocial's frontpage to "Registered Users" only so that only the login/top part of the page shows and only when registered users have logged in will it show the activity stream etc.

In Kunena, when you set the Category/Forum access to "All Registered", posts do not appear in JS's activity stream.

This is correct EXCEPT that Kunena is assuming Js's activity stream is ALWAYS public.

The problem is if you set JS's front page to "Registered Users" only, AND you set Kunena's Category/Forum access to "All Registered", forum posts/replies still do not show up in the activity stream.

Please, can we have Kunena "check" JS's front page access rights and show forum posts when they "match" i.e. both JS and Kunena are set to "All Registered" in the next release?

Thanks. ;)

Yes, that feature where you can set the JomSocial frontpage to Registered users only is new only in 1.6 onwards ...
