Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question Kunena integration with Comunity Builder

I have just been doing an upgrade to a copy of my site for 1.5.5 and have just realised I have a problem when I integrate this with Community Builder.

The user profile within Kunena goes to the Community Builder Profile but there are a few items within the Kunena Profile that I can no longer get to, the signature and the Preferred Message Ordering to name just two.

I am not sure what the ramifications would be of configuring Kunena to not use the Community Builder Profiles. Will new registrations be picked up by Kunena?. If I do go this way is there a way that I can restrict the User list to registered users only?

Is there a way of giving the user access to their Kunena configuration but to have Kunena use the Community Builder Profile?

Just to let you know, the site is currently running 1.0.8 integrated with Community Builder 1.2 but I have only just realised this problem was there when I was doing the upgrade.

I recommend that you upgrade to CB 1.2.1 !!

Then you just configure CB Forum plugin to point to Kunena!
And the options (the signature and the Preferred Message Ordering) will be there to edit in CB profile.
