Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question Moderator not receiving emails

Hi, I have Joomla 1.5.10, CB 1.2.1 and Kunena 1.5.3 (well done getting it native and SEF URLs - awesome!).

This is my first time using Kunena and I have it set up on a test site for now.

I have two questions which I hope someone can answer for me as I've spent a while reading documentation and the forum and can't find the answer:

1. I would like the moderator of my forum to receive an email notification of everything that goes on in the forum (but they don't need to approve posts) - new topics, posts, etc. Is this possible to setup or do they simply do it through RSS? I would prefer email notification if possible.

2. I have configured CB so that new users must register and after confirmation of an email, the moderator must approve their registration. The new user receives their email to confirm the link which works fine but then the moderator never gets notification. I assume this is a CB thing but just wondering if anyone knows how I get around that?

Thanks in advance.

1. There's a configuration option to send email: Security / E-mail Moderators

2. Yes, it's a CB question. I hope that somebody can answer it.

thank you - I'm sorry I couldn't find answer to number 1 myself but very glad it is there and I just tested and it works.

Brilliant.

Thanks again.

2.:
- Make sure that the moderators are in moderators level set in CB general config and that they have the "Receive Email" backend user profile edit flag set to YES, and that their email is correct of course. ;)
