Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

First off...what is a discussbot? I've been wondering that ever since I saw joomlame.com and they apprently do not have a separate commenting system...

If a discussbot provides Kunena users the ability to comment on articles, then is it possible to use it to comment in JoomGallery?

Actually you've answered your own question. What is a discussbot? A discussbot provides Kunena users the ability to comment on articles.

ObjectClarity has a discussbot plugin works with Kunena; I'm unaware of others.

With regard to the second question - Is it possible to use a discussbot to comment in JoomGallery? - JoomGallery has its own commenting system. However, if you are asking if it's possible to automatically post users' comments about JoomGallery items into a Kunena forum, I can't see how to do that. You might like to direct your question to the JoomGallery developer.

Ah, okay. It's just that I want to get rid of jComments since it seems like an extra component that I don't need. I'm still baffled on how to enable it if it doesn't come with an editor button :/

The only articles I don't want to be commented on are the site rules and front page article.
