Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question Discuss plugin question (should it get its own sub-forum?)

I think I've seen this question asked, but thirty-something pages of topic without clear threading makes it hard to see if the answer arrived.

I'm using the fairly excellent EventList component. Whilst the front page comes up without incident the detail pages give the error
Code:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$sectionid in /home/vowlmco/public_html/nhmag/httpdocs/plugins/content/kunenadiscuss.php on line 61 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$catid in /home/vowlmco/public_html/nhmag/httpdocs/plugins/content/kunenadiscuss.php on line 61 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$sectionid in /home/vowlmco/public_html/nhmag/httpdocs/plugins/content/kunenadiscuss.php on line 61 Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$catid in /home/vowlmco/public_html/nhmag/httpdocs/plugins/content/kunenadiscuss.php on line 61

Here's an example on my website

I'd guess it's because the component is making up pages by itself, but I don't easily see what to do about it. Any thoughts? Has this already been fixed somewhere? Seems a shame since the discuss plugin (I'm using the Kunena J!1.5 native one) is soooo good otherwise. I could use the plugin parameters to exclude the events from getting "discuss" links, but I'd rather not :-(

I can see this is a really hotly followed point :(

I've found a hack for the old discuss plugin. Unless anyone's already done it I'll try applying it, or probably just the same principle, to this and see if I can get it to work.

Wish me luck

I don't think the KunenaDiscuss plugin should get its own sub-category. There has never been an "official" discussbot plugin for Kunena - or even for Fireboard. These have always been third party-developed add-ons and they have always had problems in the way that they were designed. When K 1.6 becomes stable there will be an discussbot plugin that is developed by, and will be supported by, the Kunena project.

No, I don't think the KunenaDiscuss plugin should get its own sub-category ... it should get its own website!

:woohoo: It's own website! That's fabulous, where's that then...
;)

Ok, point taken.

Presumably you're saying that the 1.6 (Discuss plugin) version will be some way behind the stable 1.6 release?
