Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

I like this suggestion better than including the hack into the distro. Allows for more choices.

My hack is just the removing of the Kunena login ;)

I know. Something I suggested when I was a dev somewhere else. Makes total sense. Write a module position into that spot and plug in your own login module.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I like the idea of module position, too. Added to todo list.

  • Go to Joomla backend, copy the module cblogin, set position to kunena_profilebox

  • how do you exactly set a copy of mod_cblogin to position: kunena_profilebox?
i'm using joomla 1.0 and creating a new module position in the template admin is limited only to 10 characters. :(

    edit:
    found the solution here: docs.kunena.com/index.php/Module_Positions

If someone need a login there, he can place a login-module...

    Totally agree.
Also, Kunena should have its own login module if someone is using just Joomla and Kunena.

    Hello,
    the Kunena-Login hat two disadvantages:

    1. if you in a thread and login - you will redirect to the startpage
    2. it's big has not all function
I deleted the Kunena-standart-login and made the module bigger. Here the result:

    What to do:
    1. Replace the profilebox.php with the attached one
    2. Go to Joomla backend, copy the module cblogin, set position to kunena_profilebox
    3. Change the styling in the module as you want (here on my picture I use Horizontal and Compact

    File Attachment:

    File Name: profilebox.zip
    File Size:2 KB

the only problem with this is if you are a moderator.. the link for new/edit announcement is no longer available..
