Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

My suggestion is to remove the Kunena login.

If someone need a login there, he can place a login-module...

Totally agree.
Also, Kunena should have its own login module if someone is using just Joomla and Kunena.

Hello,
the Kunena-Login hat two disadvantages:

  1. if you in a thread and login - you will redirect to the startpage
  2. it's big has not all function
I deleted the Kunena-standart-login and made the module bigger. Here the result:

What to do:
  1. Replace the profilebox.php with the attached one
  2. Go to Joomla backend, copy the module cblogin, set position to kunena_profilebox
  3. Change the styling in the module as you want (here on my picture I use Horizontal and Compact

Hello,

here are a new file.

The changes:
  • announcement link were shown for moderators
  • new module-position for login: kunena_login
  • module-place for other modules: kunena_profilebox
  • removed all unnecessary code and query
Please backup first!!!!

For what I'm working for:
  • Query for every modul position if they exist. If someone has a hint...

I'm happy with the existing CB Login form. It's fairly stock-standard. See example at www.enduring.com.au/40P_demo/

The template is a slightly modified form of JA_Purity; CB Login parameters are:

Position: hornav
Module orientation: Horizontal
Display type: Compact
Remember me checkbox: Hide unchecked

The other parameters are fairly standard - very minor changes to the language .INI file to render a "logged-in" image.

hello i have installed kunena...

all is nice except for one thing,

When a user logs in from Kunenas login module it REDIRECTS him to the front PAGE. So the user has to click on the forum link to get to the forum again ....

IS THERE A WAY the [LOGIN] button can generate this code
Code:
http://ixtus.dyndns.org/index.html/index.php?option=com_user&view=login&Itemid=207&lang=el

INSTEAD OF
Code:
http://ixtus.dyndns.org/index.html/index.php?option=com_user&view=login&lang=el

i think its a php issue

1)which php file do edit

/var/www/joomla/components/com_kunena/template/default/plugin/profilebox$ ls profilebox.php
profilebox.php ?

2)What part of code do i edit to get it generate the right link, so when a user logs in it redirects him to the forum and notthe front page

thankyou C.M

Ref. #6612 : I thought discussion was about whether it's possible or more preferable to operate a website with the Community Builder Login to the Kunena Login. #6612 seems a little off-topic to this discussion, IMO, and should be raised as a "How to" in the Kunena support forum.
