Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Just wanted to share a small buyers beware for Kunena users searching for 3rd party templates.

I recently purchased a template package from TemplateKunena.com. Naturally, I don't mind at all purchased software as I understand the time and effort it takes to create it.

The package I purchased from TemplateKunena promised not only the software but support for the product.

Turns out the particular template I purchased (Integrity Pro) was quite buggy and requires several fixes for standard things that it advertises it can do.

Unfortunately, there are many users on their support forum complaining about weeks going by without any response from the support team. Furthermore, the administrator who is 'the support team' hasn't even been online in nearly two weeks and based on his history isn't online often anyways.

Moral of the story? TK makes some nice looking templates. But buyer beware. You get what they send you and that's it. You'll have to fix any issues on your own.

I see also that the templates are old. they support only K.1.5.9 they want to sell what is buggy and not updated

Users should also be aware that Kunena is a registered trademark and a copyrighted product.
