Kunena 7.0.8 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.
This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.
The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Mmmmm... XXXX, my favorite! I just might go and bye me a six pack to celebrate since I'm in Oz (Sydney) now as well.
Now to some bad news, your template doesn't work well in IE. Where the buttons used to be and the text links should be, IE is showing broken images instead.

Typical Microsoft; can't do anything right. I think Lintzy posted some information on how to work through IE's incompatibility with real websites. A search of these forums will probably reveal the answers. I might have a look at what needs to be done with the CSS to trick IE into not inserting red X placeholders where the images were.
Edit: It looks like the version 1 that I created will only work for Firefox browsers - and that ain't good enough - so I'll have to rework it to remove the <IMG ...> references from the template. That's a job for another time.

Nice and clean. Thanks for share with us.
BTW I mixed with your "speech bubble" effect for the Kunena defaul_ex template on the pun BB template. It looks nice.

Further to my message yesterday (
#26200
), I have reworked the code to completely remove the possibility of the red X-ed image placeholders in IE. The new version is now available for download.
Thanks, STi, for your comments and for taking another one of my ideas and merging the two of them together.

Thank you for your support.
I've now created a "version 1.3" which, I think, should be the last change I need to make to this idea. This latest version displays the actual message posting time, in the international date format (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss), instead of "x <time-units> ago" format when browsing the categories, my discussions or recent discussions lists. In my opinion, this latest version comes closest to what I've seen with the style used in punBB.
