Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

I'm looking for the same thing. I asked the developers of Jomcomment and they were not really intrested as they want everyone to buy JomSocial and therefore they would not need to support just the forum. Can someone please help!

Hi!

There is solution - instead of jomComment use Jcoments - it's free and support many components. I've tryied use JomComment before, but mod latest is to simple (doesn't show date), so I've been looking for something more configurable and with better support. And I found.

Hope I've helped you ;)

This helps his specific problem but can anyone help with the general question? How do you / can you use kunena avatars in other components? There are more than a few components that have strong user tie is and it would be nice to be able to get them working with kunena avatars.

I am using one component right now that has a built in comment system which already grabs user names from joomla but does not grab any avatars - just lets you pick from pre configured ones. I would like to change it to grab the logged in users avatar from kunena. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have even tried looking at the jcomments plugin code to see hwo they do it but it looks overly complicated and I was assuming that was because they were doing more than just getting the avatar.
