Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

According to this website and the download website, K 1.0.10 is "mature". It's the most "obvious" candidate (at joomlacode.org/gf/project/kunena/frs/ ) for download. Can we therefore assume that K 1.0.10 is recommended for use on production sites?

It's our best tested release ever. It still has it's share of bugs and may have regression, too, but it should be more stable than K1.0.9 -- as long as nobody installs custom template made for 1.0.9..

I am new to all of this and I am looking for a Forum extension, I really like this one I am using now o your website. If I install this extension to my website, will I be able to change colors of the headers? Ad what other flexibility do I have as far as look and feel? Thanks in advance.

Changing colors is relatively easy if you know some CSS as we have CSS editor in the backed.

The best way to change colors is to use FireFox3 with FireBug plugin. You can change the looks of site with it easily and see the changes right away. Then just do the same in the CSS file.

You should not do template to K1.5 just yet, because you will have to redo it in a few days. We will merge all the changes from 1.0.10 to 1.5.2. After it has been done, I will look how many bugs there are to be fixed.

If there is not too much to be fixed (in templates), I will send pre-release of Kunena to all who want to have it.
