I can see you work hard on the com_kunenaimporter-1.6.

I also know you have spend alot of energy making the Kunena 1.6.6 release supporting J!1.7

But a while ago you said the kunena importer would be released.

I can see you now working on adding support for a bunch of forums - that is fine.

But couldnt you release it for phpBB

Im really in a need for it - and have been waiting a while now...

Dont take it the wrong way - Im just so excited to see what you come up with and to migrate my phpBB board www.studmed.dk

Hello,

The phpbb importer part still missing things to handle passwords.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

That's correct. The password conversion requires a system plugin, as the phpBB password algorithm is not compatible with Joomla. Rather than forcing you to reset all passwords, we want to make this transparent, where on the very first login of any of your users, the passwords get automatically converted into Joomla.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Your plugin doesn't quite work as we are using different table to store phpBB passwords. But yes, it's not a big job to add the support.

The issue is that we only have limited number of hours to do everything and we still haven't even released modules and plugins for Kunena 1.6.5. We were aiming to release the component at the same time and we are already almost there..
