Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Will a migration on a live board result in mail-storm to the users? was created by frold
I would like to merge my forum to Kunena from phpBB

I would like to know if that would result in tons of mails to my 8000 users?

I dont want to sent out mails - before the full migration is done and my board is going live again

I think it depends on which Joomla version you have. If you don't want to send emails, make local copy of the site as most desktops do not have emailing configured :)

I need to look into this issue at some point -- but I really don't have time to do everything at once.

I did the merge and my site is live now

There was some minor issues and it crashed with polls - that I had to de-select

Some users wasnt merged - eg a user named P

But now my site is live on Joomla - I couldnt wait anymore

All users got 1 email with a new password.

OK, just to be clear:
When migrating, all users receive an email with a new password??
Or do they receive an email with a link to change password?

Can you explain a bit more in detail what happens?

I succesfully migrated the board.
No emails were sent! But not all passwords migrated. :(
