It's got to be in some instructional set somewhere, but I can't find it.

From working on the set-up in the back end I think I've learned that I have to place some sort of tag at the end of my article to link it to the Kunena Forum. Something link {kunena_discuss} Right?

But I don't know the exact syntax, my old brain just doesn't comprehend things as easily as it did 40-50 years ago. I understand just enough to be frustrated, but also enough to appreciate how much work the developers have put into this software. THANK YOU for your time - once enable this package will really help me accomplish the goals of my web site.

Forum will appears as part of www.RideAroundAmerica.com (Blocked in several nations due to hacker attempts - sorry)

UPDATE:

Okay, I'm making progress. Have figured out I have to create the category mapping pairs. Wow, that takes a LOT of time if you have several hundred categories.

Now I get this error on articles properly mapped -

Discuss this article
Sorry, you don't have permission to participate in this discussion.
-load-: You do not have permissions to access this page.

I'm logged into the front end as a Joomla Super User and Kunena Discuss allow Registered users to see/participate. Where am I going wrong?

Kunena discuss either uses category mapping (with one default category with allowed or denied article categories) or {kunena_discuss:topicid} tag. Second way is usually needed only if you have existing topic which you would like to use in your article or to change mapped topic later on. After the change you can remove that tag as it isn't used anymore...

Category pairs are like this: 1,2;2,3;3,10 where first is joomla category and the second is Kunena. If you don't have permissions as super user, Kunena categories do not exist.
