The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.
I was wondering if anyone can think of a way to get Discuss to email a user when someone comments on an article they've created... that would be a really useful feature
If the user who created the article wants to receive some email notification that there have been comments made, they only have to subscribe to the Kunena forum category (or to the specific topic, when it's created) in which the discussion happens. There's no automatic way to achieve this, sorry. The feature exists but each user has to decide for themselves whether they want to be notified by email about new comments. Alternatively, people can visit the forum online at the website to see what activity has occurred.
Actually it should be enough to subscribe to the new topic. There's currently no way to subscribe article author automatically to the topic, but that is a nice feature request.
In Kunena 2.0 that's doable with one line of code.
