The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.3 [K 7.0.3] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

When a registered user logs onto my Joomla website, they get the message:
"Sorry, you don't have permission to participate in this discussion. " directly under the articles in stead of the expected discussion box.
I've looked everywhere for a potentially wrong setting.
Can you PLEASE give me some pointers as to what could be wrong?
Versions: Joomla v1.5.22 and latest downloaded versions of Kunena Forum and Kunena Discuss.

Had the same trouble as you. I overlooked something easy as suspected. I created a catagory in Kunena, call "Website Article Discussions" it was ID 9. I went to the plugin and set the default ID to 9 but forgot to PUBLISH the dern thing in Kunena.
Make SURE that your DEFAULT CATEGORY in the plugin is actually PUBLISHED in the categories of Kunena.
