The link however now is not shown at all! Instead of a link I get this:
"The topic in Kunena isn't created yet, please write a reply"

If "show quick reply form" is set to "yes" it should be shown with the message. In any case this what I get.

You mean that you want a to a kunena topic even if you have the quickform displayed ?

Yes, that's what I am saying...But I don't want to have the quick form enabled. I just want the link to create the first reply!

It's not possible when the topic isn't created yet in kunena, to have a link to create a new topic, because you need to insert before the message with the article content.

vatoloco wrote: xillibit thanx for your efforts! Now quick reply doesn't show "Internal Error any more!". But when using plugin now the thread is created over 753 x times! I don't know what's wrong but got a timeout and have seen that the same thread has been created 753 x identical. I think if I didn't got that timeout it would bump up over 1000x !!!

I am very confused now! I am using this plugin with my articles and have activated "Allow Custom Topics". As you may remember I am using also Joomfish and asked for bi-lingual support. This is how I use the plugin:

  • main article (german) with {kunena_discuss:0} [This is to avoid putting german article into the forum category]
  • main article translation (english / joomfish) [here I add nothing!! I want that english articles are auto-created into the forum category]

Maybe this information will be useful and has something to do with my problem? I don't know it!

Just a quick logic to my problem:

I remember that on official RC2-release from 08-31 there has been kinda thing fo checking if article has been created as thread already! Is this missing now? Cause if it could check if it's existing then I would be good to go!

What do you mean ?

Why it can be done from the quick reply form and cannot be done with just a link that will send you to the proper forum? (using also all the kunena's editor features)
Also, this was done before, in Fireboard and its discussbot...

What we both with mijalis meant when an article (in blog/frontpage view) doesn't have any posts yet - to give just a link which opens the articles and brings user down to the quick post form.

Another option could be - to have quick form collapsed by default.

PS. it's like many commenting components do - if article is not viewed completely - no comment form, only link to article's page.

No I don't actually mean this...
I want to have exactly the same behavior of the previous discussbot (the fireboard one)
I am not talking about front page/blog views.
I am only talking about full article view.
I just want at the end of the article (full article view) to have a link which will say:
Discuss this article in the forum (x posts)
And using this link it should be able to create the topic if it doesn't already exist, including also in the first post the link of the article...That is exactly the behavior of the old one...
