ok, so i am trying to get my head around the new discuss plugin by the kunena team.

I have published the plugin and i have mapped joomla categories and kunena categories.

but now i have many new forum posts being made of articles written years ago, like what happened here on kunena.com forum.

how do i stop all these old articles from having new forum posts being made for them??
Even if i delete these new posts that are created, within an hour or so they seem to have been recreated! for the time being i have had to unpublish the plugin :(

help

still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile :(

G'day, mate. I hear what you're saying. Unfortunately I haven't had any time at all to experiment with any of the new K 1.6 add-ons - I've been too busy trying to deal with the rush of questions/problems/requests for the core Kunena product.

I am sure that there's a way to prevent certain articles from creating Kunena messages and, if there isn't at the moment, then there certainly should be. This is one of those housekeeping tasks: deciding what old Joomla articles (that people pull out from the woodwork) are worth having discussions about. I am continually surprised when I see blogs written nearly two years ago here at Kunena.com and I think to myself "where the hell did that come from?" There are always a few surprises in store for site administrators, aren't there? B)

As soon as somebody views an article, a new topic is created...
I consider this as a bug, but unfortunately this is the default behavior of kunena discussbot!
And you cant change it! Look here:
