Question German translation file does not work

Based on the english language file from fxstein I have created a quick and dirty german translation. Unfortunately it does not work. Although I have copied the file to /language/de-DE/ my frontend shows PLG_KUNENADISCUSS_DISCUSS for example. When I switch the frontend language to english, everything is fine and english translations are shown

Maybe someone can take a look on the file. I´m not very skilled in those things and maybe I have made some mistakes. please feel free to use the file as a base for a real functioning german translation

Maybe someone from the DEVs can take a look and tell me what´s wrong with my translation? Or could it be that the plugin never looks for a translation file?

Just back from a wedding, I should be able to look at this in the next few days.

Without looking at the details, have you placed the german translation in the same location as the english one?

We might have a bug in here as well - that would need to get fixed.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

It seems like Kunena Discuss takes the translation from kunena language file! I copied the translations to de-DE.com_kunena.ini and this finally worked.
