I have Kunena Discuss 1.6.4 & have 2 problems:

1. When I enable the plug-in I get the 'number thingy'. I see there is a new file on the 'number thingy' thread but, before I do anything, I want to check do I install that file via Joomla Extension manager or just use FTP to replace the file?

2. What code do I use to actually display a discussion thread in/below an article? This seems such a dumb question I can't find a thread on it!! I guessed at something like {kunena discuss}category name{/kunena discuss} but didn't seem to work . Is there some documentation somewhere I should have found?

Thanks

Just replace that file.

You don't have to put any code into an article to generate a forum topic.

We evidently need better documentation. If someone would like to write it, send it to me, I'll work on it and put it into the Wiki . This documentation exists at the moment as Discussbot Instructions . I have been asking for someone to write a better guide about how to use Kunena Discuss plugin for nearly a year but no-one else has answered my call for help. As I have not used Kunena Discuss myself, it will be some time before I can write such a guide. I would really appreciate someone else else helping me to write this guide.

Thanks. Number Thingy gone.

I agree a better guide would definitely help. I just can't get any discussions to appear with articles. If i find a way I would write a guide but ....
