[SOLVED] Installing Kunea 1.6 was created by agor
Hello, I'm ussing Kunena 1.5.12 few days and now want to upgrade to 1.6.
I tryed to uninstall it from the Joomla install/uninstall under components and try to install newest 1.6 version (com_kunena_v1.6.0-RC2_b3373_2010-08-31).
Meanwhile all the requirements are ok.
Is there special way to update to 1.6, I was unable to find anywhere precise answers how to upgrade or install it fresh one.
Cheers

I think moderators move this topic to
K 1.6 Installation and Upgrade
forum?
Mean while check from your Joomla! backend Help -- System info
* System Info
* PHP Settings
* Configuration File
* Directory Permissions
* PHP Information
Try also after you disable FTP... Site -- Global Configuration -- Server -- FTP Settings -- Enable FTP: No, does it work when you just install that package via Joomla installer.

These are most important now(because you haven't give any other information yet):
so there is not write permission when you try install that RC2 package. (you don't have to unistall that 1.5.12 before)... check permissions and disable that Joomla! FTP feature and try again. Tell also some basic information of your system, you will found those my previous post(at least System Info).
I think also those moderators is hard to guess your problem if you don't give some more information.
