Question Installed but getting 'JFolder::create: Could not create directory'

Please organise for your hosting company to change the ownership of the files. I would also recommend that you disable the Joomla FTP parts in the Global Configuration. I've had problems with this in some versions of Joomla.

Your K 1.6 configuration report would help a lot!

I can get ownership changed in the morning.
FTP is disabled.
This may be a purely academic exercise at the moment as my MySQL is 4.1.7 which xillibit says will have issues...
