Your site does not meet the
K 1.6 minimum requirements
. You cannot install K 1.6 on Joomla 1.5.8. You need J! 1.5.20 (and we recommend J! 1.5.22) as a minimum.
Are you trying to tell us that you cannot even install K 1.6.3 on a clean J! 1.5.22 site, with no other Joomla extensions, on your current webserver or even on another webserver? Please read K 1.6 Installation Guide .

Are you saying that you have created a brand new, J! 1.5.22 site, with rhuk_milkyway template, no other Joomla extensions (no other modules, components, languages, plugins, templates), and K 1.6.3 and you continue to get these errors?
If you continue to get the errors under these circumstances then no, sorry, your hosted web environment does not meet the necessary technical requirements to run Kunena. Kunena is not that resource intensive. If you cannot run Kunena (with no other Joomla extensions) there is a good chance that you will have problems running an alternative web-based discussion forum, too. There are, however, other forum components for Joomla that might suit your purposes although, obviously, they will not have the same features as Kunena.
If I were in your situation, I would shop around for a better and more reliable webhost provider.

I do not understand your question. What is it that you want to install manually? Where do you want to install this thing? What are we talking about.
Is there some part of my earlier message that you do not understand? Can you please tell me what you do not understand and I will try to explain things better for you.

You issue becomes from the fact that unzipping our files take more time than MySQL is prepared to wait for. Joomla installer fails to work and you never get into Kunena installer.
Please contact your server provider and ask them to deal the issue. In Joomla there's another way to install components from a directory, but it still copies all the files, which takes about half of the time anyway..
Your issue has nothing to do with Kunena, it's Joomla issue in your server. And it can be fixed only by changing server settings.
