Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Upgrading from K 1.6.0 -> K 1.6.1 is a lot easier than upgrading from K 1.5.x -> K 1.6.x in terms of the preparation checklist. Because K 1.6 is a radically different product to K 1.5 the amount of preparation work needs to be more thorough. Some of the things that may prevent a successful upgrade from K 1.5 -> K 1.6 include (a) the version of Joomla that you are using (b) versions of other software that you may be using (c) any K 1.5 modules/plugins that you may be using (d) possible complications with other Joomla extensions (e.g. Mootools). All of these issues need to be carefully worked through before you can take a K 1.5 website and migrate it into a K 1.6 website.
If you've done this already, you don't need to do it again (or to the same degree) when upgrading from K 1.6.xa -> K 1.6.xb . The important information to read is contained in Kunena 1.6.1 Read Me
