I am very nervous to upgrade to the latest Kunena forum here is the reason.

It has take quite some time for my forum to become active but finnaly it has. I have a only 1200+ posts but do not want to loose them. Or any other aspects of the forum for that matter.

I have Joomal 1.5.20 installed, currently running an older version of Kunena 1.5.6
I have already done a backup of the site using FTP, it is on my computer. If I upgrade and find that I have an issue is it just a matter of deleating the latest Kunena forum 1.6.1 and FTP back in the old Kunena 1.5.6 to get me back up an running again? Will my users loose the number of post that they have made like what my profile is currently showing here on this forum?

Since I have Joomla 1.5.20 install how do I know If I have Mootools 1.2 or does that come with Joomla 1.5.20? I also am running a Yoo theme templat will that cause any issue?

Please can someone help put my mind at ease, on this matter.

Hi,

Why don't you test the upgrade on your local computer first? That is always recommended. That way you can test and fix any issues you might identify before you do that on your live site.

We highly recommend taking a full backup with Akeeba backup. That way you can restore a local test site with it and run the upgrade beforehand.

To see of the basic moo tools 1.2 works on your site please make sure that the Mootools Upgrade system plugin is set to published (green checkmark next to it).

Hope tihs helps!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)
