Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question Why Always Problematic ?
Last time, when I tested Kunena 1.6 Beta/RC, it caused problems over to my system and I never used Kunena since then.
Now, I downloaded this latest package 1.6.1, when I installed it on the Justhost web hosting server, during the below installation screen, it was suddenly logged out back to the Joomla Administrator Login screen.
When I login back to Admin, it is said that Kunena 1.6.1 was installed but I doubt if it will be stable. Then I re-upload and install the package, it prompts me 2 options whether to Reinstall or Remove 1.6. I selected Remove 1.6 and it was prompted with a successful uninstallation msg.
I re-upload and install the package again, when I clicked install, the following message was shown.
Then, I installed a Fresh Joomla and tried Kunena again, during the installation screen, Kunena was still logged out to Joomla Administrator Login Screen unexpectedly. Is it the problem with JustHost Server ? The installation process is just smooth on my laptop running WinXP, PHP 5 + Apache 2.2.
Honestly, very fed-up with Kunena now posing me lots of funny issues since 1.6 testing version till now.
Thanks.

Hi,
As follows. Just to correct the earlier statement, Fresh Joomla with Kunena installation on Justhost server is OK.
I doubt if Kunena installation is in conflict with other 3rd-party Plugins on the production site on Justhost server. However, if I use akeeba backup to clone and restore the production site onto my Laptop, Kunena installation works until the finished button displayed, didn't log out in the middle unexpectedly. Is it funny ?

I found the problems already. After I cloned and restored the Production Site onto my laptop from the Justhost server, I tried installing Kunena on the restored version on my laptop. The following error screen prompted but it didn't logout to the administrator login page as on the Justhost server.
It carried on until the following screen showed.
On the Justhost server, these 2 error screens NEVER showed but immediately logout to the administrator login page when the problem hit. Why is it so ?
I only installed Traditional Chinese language for the Front-end, not backend, why does it bother with Kunena 1.6.1 during installation ? It took me 10 hours on troubleshooting and the problem is bcoz of this language issue.
Sigh, bitter experience again and Kunena 1.6.1 is yet stable in terms of installation. I'm wondering why Justhost server didn't prompt the errors. Fortunately, my laptop did, otherwise I won't know the issue behind until the doomsday, wasting me so....much time on this silly bug.
Thanks Akeeba Backup, your user-friendly clone-n-restore functions help me a lot on simulation.

I've many websites installed with multilingual features, could you please please please look into troubleshooting this issue ?
In order to install Kunena 1.6.1, I have to uninstall the language packs other than English otherwise the installation process will be terminated and jump to the Administrator Login Screen when the problem hit as stated in earlier posts.
I'm tired with Kunena since 1.6 Beta and this 1.6.1 seems problematic too. If I raised up this issue with Justhost, they'll say this is mainly Kunena problems. Why does kunena bother with other languages during installation ? Why is it terminated on justhost server but not on my laptop ?
Million Thanks

Some of the foreign translations are broken. What we get submitted by the community does not always work. It seems both Russian and Taiwanese language packs had incorrect xml files.
Kunena only installs languages presently installed within Joomla. So if your laptop has different languages than your host, Kunena will install different language packs.
Since none of these seem to get installed by any of our existing testers, they don't get caught before release.
1.) Would you mind joining the tester team? You would have access to pre-builds and could help us test this before we release
2.) We need an install option that installs all languages, to make sure we get all installs tested all the time.
We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory .
