Question How to check joomla template version

Hi,

I am a newbie. I want to install the 1.6 kunena forum onto my site which I am designing using a joomla template.

Can somebody please tell me:

1) Whether it is the version of the template that must be compatible with kunema 1.6, the version of joomla you are using, or both.
2) If it is both, how I can check what version my joomla template is that I have built my site with? I think it might be compatible with 1.5.3 from searching (its the freedom joomla template) and my joomla installation version is 1.5.20. Is 1.5.3 before 1.5.20?
3) Would they be compatible with the 1.6 kunena version?

The K 1.6 configuration report shows some of this information.

There isn't a foolproof method to determine if your site template is fully compatible with Joomla (let's leave Kunena out of this for a moment because Kunena is compatible with Joomla ... well, that's the intention!).

It's unlikely that a site template designed for J! 1.5.3 will be compatible with very much else, these days. The only real way of knowing is to create a test site using J! 1.5.22 with the template that you obtained way back in J! 1.5.3, install K 1.6.1 (and nothing else) and trying these things yourself.

We always recommend that, before you use any new software on a live production site, you experiment on a test site.
