Question Installation breaks up with blank page

because I haven't found any topics that match with my situation, I'll try with this new one. It seems not to be a kunena problem but appears with this addon.
I do not succeed to install the latest version of kunena on a special webspace (goneo.de). First I thought, that I've damaged the installation, so I deleted all Joomla folders and files and the database. I reinstalled the latest joomla version and only kunena, but the same things happen: The page was loading and after a few seconds changed to a blank one.
The kunena menu is to see in the frontend but leads to blank pages. The folders in the component and module directory were created, the entries in jos_components too, but not the mysql tables of kunena. I have to clear the installation manually because removing of kunena also breaks up with a blank page.

I've checked the "before install" list and discovered that the whole joomla installation crashes into blank if I activate the mootools plugin.
As there are no such problems on another webspace and on a local installation, I conclude a special server configuration, but haven't found the answer yet.
Anyone who knows the reason or have any idea what I can try next?

Which Joomla! version do you have ? Do you have tried to install k1.6.0 stable ?

Can-you check please in your php log or apache log, if you some errors ?

It's Joomla 1.5.21 and Kunena 1.6.0.
I've figured out now, that the error occures on php 4.4.9, not with 5.2.9.
By activating the mootools plugin the following error is reported:
"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /web/1/000/035/440/.../htdocs/.../plugins/system/mtupgrade/behavior.php on line 52"

Are there other solutions than updating the php version?

You have this error with php 5.2.9 ?

Try to replace with FTP the file plugins/system/mtupgrade/behavior.php in your system, i think it's corurpted

I'm surprised by the information you get from my post Apperently I don't succeed in make myself clear.
If I activate the mootools plugin or install kunena 1.6.0 stable on a webspace with php 4.4.9 I'll get a blank page. On a webspace with php 5.2.9 everything is fine!

It also happened if the mysql database and the joomla-directory is empty and I only install joomla 1.5.21 and, without any changes, kunena 1.6.0.

I don't suppose mistakes in my doing and don't think that a corrupt file is the reason because I deleted and uploaded the whole installation more than once and I succeed on other webspaces/local installation.

So, now it's fixed ?
