I have a vb 3.8 forum I'd like to migrate to Kunena 1.6 Has anyone done so successfully and if so what method did you use to get there?

Thanks
Paul

any help? If I migrated the forum to SMF 1.1.11 from vB is there a way to get from SMF to Kunena? Other options? I have a large forum with an active user base. I don't think they'll be happy just making vB READ ONLY and starting fresh with Kunena.

I am mostly happy with vB (w/ jfusion) but want better integration with Joomla thus Kunena. But I'm surprised there are no converters for 1.6 after an extensive Beta and 3 RCs. Also seems like a good strategy for the Kunena team. Converters make it easier for admins to consider Kunena more seriously and would also help develop the 3PD for Kunena which is also surprisingly sparse overall (not just converters) at this time. I say this as a fan of Kunena, not a critic.

Also keen to know about this. Can I export my VBlletin blog to PHPBB3 format and import it that way? Or are there not yet any importers for other forums? I appreciate all these things take time, but if I knew roughly when an import script might be available I could plan around that. Or if I have to do it myself through getting in and looking at the SQL then it would be good to know there was no other option but to do that. Thanks...

From this thread: www.kunena.com/forum/159-k-16-common-que...a--jomsocial--kunena
it looks as if the PHPBB3 converter isn't ready yet. I can hang on, the developer Matias sounds as if he is very busy!
