Question Missing Menu Once Again

I am really bamboozled. What exactly does this message mean? "Kunena Notice: Menu item /forum (Itemid=320) does not have Kunena Menu" I just upgraded my forum to the latest 1.6. Everything seemed okay at first, the kunena menu was in place on all pages in the forum. Then I did some messing around trying to move the menu item and when I went back to the forum I got this message in yellow at the top of the page and now the menu is missing. This happens on every single website I have tried to upgrade and quite frankly it's starting to get quite irritating.

Well, that's very strange. It seems that moving the forum menu item caused the forum menu to disappear.what I did was to uninstall the kunema menu, then create it again, point the menu item to entry page and then everything seems to work okay. Problem is, I don't particularly want the forum item for home.

FYI - You are not being ignored. We are working actively to make all these menu issue, easier to detect and fix. With flexibility comes complexity - its unfortunate and we need to find ways to simplify this without limiting the possibilities.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

That's okay, I know you guys are working very hard to get this thing up and running properly. I suppose it just gets a little bit frustrating sometimes when things don't quite work as we would have hoped. However, I've been with this software from the beginning, and I'm not going anywhere just yet

Anyway, the forum on my website is working really well, however it's not a very busy or used forum so I don't mind experimenting. I removed the forum from the main menu and just linked a "forum gif image" to the forum.

I'm deciding whether to bite the bullet and just go for it and upgrade the forum on my fish website. However, this is a very busy forum which is why I have been very reluctant to make any changes just yet.Having said that, I have tested on a couple of websites and I have upgraded the forums without much problem. I'm finding that as long I use the newly created "forum" item link in the main menu and modify that to point to the entry page, it normally works okay and there are no warning messages or missing forum menus. But like I said in my previous post, there does seem to be a problem on my side when I try and move the "forum" item link in the back end, i.e. make sure it is not the first in line.
