First i uninstalled the old version and afterwords i tried to install it again but everytime when i try upload and install its taking some time and afterwards nothing is happen, some kind of timeout.

So i thought maybe its a problem with the provider and uploaded the folder into the temp directory and run the installation from there. Now it worked and he is asking if i wanna migrate if i click this i have the same problem again.

I reinstalled the old version 1.5.12 which is now running again and if i try to make an upgrade without uninstallation i get this error: Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in <pathtoside>/administrator/components/com_kunena/install/schema.php on line 188

i tried
update joomla to 1.5.21
deaktivated all components and plugins which where additionaly installed

but its still not running
can somebody maybe help me?

thanks

Hello,

You need to have at least PHP 5.2.3 and MySQL 5.x to install kunena 1.6

Maybe try to increase the php memory limit and the maximum execution time in your php.ini

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

FYI - You don't have to uninstall a prior Kunena version - Out upgrader does the upgrade for you.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Please read Kunena 1.6.0 Read Me: System Requirements for details of minimum system requirements to run K 1.6.0.

Your system memory should be sufficient but the max. execution time might be a little low. This is something that you will need to discuss with your web hosting provider.
